International author and art expert, James Cowan has a deep knowledge of contemporary art.
He has managed the Warlayirti Aboriginal art cooperative in the Tanami Desert, where he was able to bring to world attention the work of a number of its major artists.
He has bought and sold art ranging from late Renaissance paintings, Greek icons and the art of modern Argentine artists, as well as Aboriginal art.
He has also contributed his expertise to indigenous art movements in various parts of the world, and conducted surveys into art practice for the Federal Government.
He was a founding member of QAIMEA, Queensland’s peak body representing Aboriginal artists in that state.
He has published a number of art monographs.
His fiction and non-fiction books are published in over twenty languages throughout the world.
Mark Fowles-Prince A qualified and experienced international designer, Mark graduated from a top London institution.
Involved in Art and Design education in the UK for some years, he has held positions in colleges as a lecturer conducting advanced diploma courses.
Mark also accompanied study visits to museums and galleries in London, Paris and New York.
Later, he worked as an interior decorator in Brisbane before moving to the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Mark has recently worked with other leading Art and Craft Galleries in Maleny and Montville.
He will be working closely with James Cowan in selecting local, interstate and international works of Fine Art – sourcing and presenting to the public and clients contemporary quality works in this modern gallery setting.
