Taking inspiration from the French impressionists, Donald’s paintings feature quite visible brush strokes, yet unlike the masters of old, he avoids the subdued colours; favouring the vibrant young colours that are quintessentially Australian.

His paintings suggest we are surrounded by urban beauty. By capturing pieces of nature on canvas, infused with everyday suburban objects, Donald hopes to chronicle modern life through the eye of an artist.
